August 5, 2019

Jess Wikle graduated from FES with an MFS in 2018; her research project focused on examining effects of structural retention on regeneration in shelterwood harvests. Following her graduation, she served as QCI Manager from June 2018 – July 2019. During that time she focused on strengthening QCI’s connection to the community, building relevant programming for local landowners and resource managers, and pursuing options for land conservation in the Quiet Corner.  In August 2019, she left her position at QCI to pursue a PhD at the University of Vermont Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, where she is studying forest management strategies for adaptation to climate change in the Silviculture and Applied Forest Ecology Lab.
